INDIA INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL HOLDS SEVENTH ATHLETIC MEET

Seventh Athletic Meet of India International School Mangaf was held at Fahaheel Sports Club on 21^st and 22^nd December 2015 with the motto ‘Together Every One Achieves More’. The Meet which commenced with the spectacular March Past led by the School Council members followed by the marching in of the four houses of the school viz. Sarabhai, Shanti Nikethan, Homibhaba, and Nalanda led by the respective house captains and vice captains. The Meet was inaugurated by the school Director, Mr. Malayil Moosa Koya.

Various competitions were held on track and field for the students of classes from III to XII.  The speciality of this year’s sports meet was that it was conducted class wise with the concept that no child should be denied the opportunity to bring out the innate abilities.The following students were declared individual champions at the end of the second day:

Class III- Hadiya, Class IV-Zeefa Azeem & Shayam, Class V-Aaron John, Class VI-Aliza Abdi & Hesham, Class VII- Assin, Class VIII- Abdul Raheem, Class X- Moumina & Sahad and XI & XII- Fareeda & Zaheer.

The excitement reached its pinnacle when the trophies were given away to the first and second place winning houses by the Director amidst loud cheer and applause. Shanti Niketan House bagged the Championship Trophy with 350 points and Homibhaba house was declared the first runner up with 298 points. Director, Principal and Vice Principals congratulated the winners and all those who toiled hard to make the event a grand success.
