PARADIGM  2015 – A Cultural Extravaganza

FestThe mega arts festival, unique to ICSK Senior – PARADIGM 2015 was inaugurated in the midst of much pomp and fervour by great luminaries on the 24th of October, 2015. The inauguration set the stage ready for all the onstage items. Paradigm provides a rostrum for the budding talents of the school, enhancing the aesthetic development of each child.  45 onstage items and 25 offstage items were conducted to discover the latent talents. The present year witnessed a tremendous participation with over 900 contestants in various events.

The inauguration was done by lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the Chief Guest, His Highness Dr. Mohammed Al-Haifi, the former Minister of Health, Kuwait and Guest of Honour Ms. Maha Al-Barjas, Vice-President, Kuwait Society for Human Rights. This session was blessed with the presence of Mr. S. K. Wadhawan, the Honorary Chairman of the board of trustees, Mr. Bobby A. Mathew, the Honorary Vice-Chairman, Mr. Vijay Karayil, the Honorary Secretary, members of the Board of Trustees, members of the Parent Advisory Council, the Principals and Vice-Principals of the other branch schools.

Days of hectic activity came to an end with the valedictory ceremony on the 25th of October. Certificates and mementos were distributed to the winners in both the individual and group items. Apart from felicitating the winners, the top scorers in the Gulf Region for AISSC Examination March 2014 in Science, Commerce and Humanities Streams were honoured for their effort and efficiency. While Master Ashwin Karthik Ambalavanan was honoured in the Science stream, Master Surin Rajesh Gandhi was the Commerce stream topper. Miss Razia Fakhruddin, Master Shabbir Basrai and Master Krishnaveer Roy claimed the first, second and third positions in the Gulf region. Special felicitation to the student teachers who excelled through their ability in pedagogy on Teacher’s Day, added charm to the evening.

The Chief Guest Mr. Ahmad Shah Arsalaie, Deputy Ambassador of the Embassy of Afghanistan to Kuwait, congratulated the winners and spoke on the intangible relation between aesthetics and the intellect. The atmosphere of the auditorium was imbued with the profusions of music and dance as the winning team’s spectacular performance stunned the spectators. The titles of Kalathilak and Kalapratibha, which is the highest honour in the arts fest was bestowed on the students with the maximum number of points for onstage and offstage items. In Category 4, Master Rudra Vipul Patel of class 8-B was awarded the title of KALAPRATIBHA and Miss Ranjana Rajendran of class 10-C claimed the title of KALATHILAK. Master Omar K. Ismail, of class 12-C was conferred with the title of KALAPRATIBHA in Category 5 and Miss Anamika Anilkumar of class 11-B was presented with the title of KALATHILAK. House points were awarded based on the overall score and ‘Sahyog’ house was declared to be in the first position followed by ‘Shanti’ house.

All the awards were presented to the beaming winners in the presence of Mr. Bobby A.  Mathew, the Honorary Vice-Chairman, Mr. Vijay Karayil, the Honorary Secretary, members of the Board of Trustees and members of the  Parent Advisory Council and the Principals of the other branch schools. The Joint Convener Mr. Jacob George expressed his sincere gratitude to all the guests, the management, Principal, Vice-Principal and the ICSK fraternity for the successful conduct of the mega event. Meticulous planning, dedication and hard work of the entire team of ICSK with the Principal Dr. V. Binumon at its helm is praiseworthy. Empowering the younger generation through innovative ideas and ensuring opportunities to all students has become the hallmark of ICSK.
