Family Rendezvous at IIS

India International School organized Family Rendezvous on 18^th December, 2014, bringing all the IIS family members in one common platform. The programme kicks started with the welcome address by the school Director, Mr Malayil Moosa Koya. The honouring ceremony of three talented students added additional beauty to the programme. The school Principal Mr. F.M. Basheer Ahmed introduced Master Rohith Shyam of class 1, Ms Candice Jennifer Vas and Srayas Radhakrishnan of class X who excelled in various non-academic fields.  The school took the privilege of releasing a novella written by Candice Jennifer Vas. The book “Vengeance” was released by the Director and it was followed by a brief review given by the Principal. Message sent by the school Chairman, Dr. P.A. Ibrahim was read out by the Senior Vice Principal, Mrs. Narinder Kaur.

 It is a tradition of India International School to observe Family get together every year, as a token of love and concern for the members. The management takes special effort in this regard as it strengthens the bond between the Management and the staff as well as among the members. It gives opportunity to all the IIS family members to get to know each other besides giving them a chance to exhibit their talents.

The ‘Beau Monde’-the world of fashion presented by the students of I-III under the supervision of Mrs. Dhanya and Mrs. Tuflunnisa was applauded by the audience as each child took pride in showcasing the best of his\her ‘look.’

The next item was an amazing dance performance with the theme ‘Proud to be an Indian’ by Sruthi, Raksha, Zainab and Dakshina. It was followed by a rocking music treat by the school choir under the supervision of Mr. Manoj and Mr. Mudassar. The heart moving dance performance with the theme ‘Mother’, by the students of VI-VIII, choreographed by Mrs. Salomi was the highlight of the event. The solo song rendering with the accompaniment of keyboard by Master Joshua of class I stole everybody‘s heart. The orchestra by students, teachers and other family members was also appreciated by one and all. There were events like ‘Spot Questions’ and games in order to refresh the audience.  Through a ballot poll, monitored by            Mr. Salim, Vice Pincipal, Mr. C.K. Muhammed and Mrs. Isha were honoured as the Mister and Miss IIS respectively. Mr and Mrs Kapil were selected as ‘The Ideal Couple ‘through the game ‘Ek dhuje keliye’. Vote of thanks was expressed by Vice Principal, Mrs. Indulekha  Vice Principals Mrs. Sapna Raoof and Mrs. Sophy John also graced the occasion. It was indeed a fun filled weekend for the whole IIS family members.
