The Need of the Hour: An Inspiring Presentation on Smart Learning and Genius creation Techniques

India International School gave a pleasant surprise, rather a special gift to the senior students (X - XII) and teachers on Saturday 27-04-2014. It was not a gift wrapped and concealed in a casket, but a wonderful and astounding experience of smart learning.

The programme was kick started by the welcome address by the school Principal F.M. Basheer Ahmed who further aroused the curiosity of the students to witness a magical touch by a veteran practitioner in the arena of cutting edge education technologies, whose expertise was to ignite the younger minds to conquer greater heights.

The workshop was conducted by Dr. Joshy Kuriakose, CPA, CIA, CISA, on “Smart Learning and Genius Creation Techniques” for a span of four hours. He started the presentation on a positive note stating that ‘Everybody is a genius’. After an activity on memory skills, the students were electrified to realize that they all possess amazing memory concentration and thinking skills. He also elaborated on Mind Mapping, various order of brain waves and a relaxation technique by name ‘Power Nap’. He also highlighted on the importance of getting focused on targets. The resource person’s effortless familiarity and friendly demeanor brought the participants into close quarters. The final phase of the programme was clarification of doubts and queries. The students were quite involved and cleared their doubts enthusiastically with intelligent questions. The occasion was also graced by the presence of the school Director Malayil Moosa Koya, Sr. Vice Principal and Vice Principals. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks by the school Head Boy Anas Moideen.
