Shubhechha Samaroh 2014 at ICSK Khaitan
The Indian Community School Kuwait-Khaitan organized Shubhechha Samaroh on 19th February 2014. Dr. Raj Raghupathy, an eminent professor, scientist and social worker was the Chief Guest of the function. Mr. Ashok Kalra, Hon. Chairman, Mr. Rajan Daniel, Hon. Vice Chairman, Mr. K.V. Nizar, Board member and other PAC members were also present on the occasion.
The Class X students were invited for the programme along with their parents. The juniors bid adieu to the outgoing students with great love and tenderness. After the lighting of ceremonial lamp, Principal Mr. K.G. Shirsath welcomed the guests and conveyed his message and wishes to the students. There were dances and songs by both students and teachers which expressed their nostalgic emotions and best wishes for the future of the departing students, who would be leaving after twelve years of studies in the school.
While speaking on behalf of teachers, Mrs. Beena Jerome said that the teachers were confident that the little nestlings had developed strong wings to soar high. Her poetic blessings touched the hearts of all. In his motivational speech, Dr. Raj Raghupathy enlightened the students on important seven habits for success and reminded them that they should be down to earth and practical at every stage in life. “Aspire for the best” was the advice that Mr. Ashok Kalra had for them while Mr. Rajan Daniel emphasised the importance of sincerity and hard work by narrating an incident from his own life. Mr. Vijay Karayil, Hon. Secretary sent his blessings and greetings to the students as he could not attend the function.
The representatives from all three sections of class X, Ms. Vrushali, Ms. Fida and Ms. Fathema vent their feelings on the occasion. Their tearful reminiscences touched the audience. Mrs. Reyana Mahesh spoke on behalf of all parents and expressed their gratitude towards school for educating their wards in a homely atmosphere. With an emotional note, she pointed out how each of the school staff has played a special role in nurturing their children. Vice Principal Dr. Mary Isaac too expressed her love and best wishes for the beloved students. Ms. Chelsea Joseph, the president of school senate proposed a sentimental vote of thanks on behalf of the outgoing batch and expressed their hearty gratitude towards the school for its contribution to them. The programme wound up with the Choir singing “Showers of blessings” while the students walked through the Tunnel of Light created by the Guests, Teachers and Parents with candles in their hands.
The memories that the students gathered on this day would be cherished by them for a lifetime and enable them to soar on to greater heights with renewed zeal and spirit.
