WHIZKID 2013-14PRIZE DISTRIBUTION HELD AT ICSK AMMAN

The Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman Branch recently conducted a uniquely designed 'WHIZKID' competition which was the perfect blend of various competitions.The Whizkid Award Ceremony event was held on 20^th Feb’14 at ICSK Amman Auditorium.Mr. Rajpal Tyagi Managing Director and Partner, International Interiorswas the Chief Guest for the occasion and Mr. Vijay Karayil, Hon. Secretary of the BOT of the ICSK wasthe Guest of Honour.  Mr. Ashok Kalra,  Honorary Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the ICSKpresided over the function.PAC members and parents also attended it.

The programme was made colourful with the dances and songs by pre-primary students. HonorarySeceratry to the Board of Trustees Mr Vijay Karayil furthered the event with his encouraging speech.

At the ICSK, the blooming buds are nurtured and their talents are given a platform to help them grow up as strong and smart individuals. The 'Whizkid' programme is intended to be the source of encouragement for the children.Each child is seen as strong, capable, independent, curious and full of imagination. The children are empowered to think, question, investigate, explore, and help navigate the journey of learning. It's a privilege to play an important role in the child's development. Family involvement is also regarded an integral part of the child's development. Our philosophy teaches us that the learning journey is more meaningful than the end result.

The tiny tots of the LKG and UKG were the stars of the day as they sparkled in their colourful attire. The award ceremony was the culmination of a number of competitions such as 'Complete the Puzzle', 'Complete the Picture', 'Action Song', 'Memory Test', 'Spelling Bee', 'Dance', and 'Collage Work' that were conducted during the month of January’14. 

Whizkids “winner up ”from each class ofLKG are  a) Karen Ruth Ramesh,  b) Lenibha Wincy Joy,andc)  Bianca Praveen;  each class of U.K.G.are  a)Sakina Taizun Petiwala,  b) Ziyaan Anwar Tatariya andc) Maryam Chorghay.  “1^st Runner up” were given to 6 students  , “2^nd Runner up” were given to 7 students, and “Third Runner up” were given to 11 students.  All the winner’s  were awarded  with the Trophy and Certificates.

It was a sight to behold as the Amman Branch Auditorium glowed with the beaming young winners, their gratified teachers and proud parents. Indeed, the involvement of parents, the enthusiasm of children and the hard work of teachers brought out the best in the students making the show a great success.
