After all, once you have acquired education and talent, you can earn your wealth for your future requirements ” , says Kaid Johar , General Manager of the Food Division of Al-Zahem & Malhtora General Trading Company.
We noticed that he had put hard-work ahead of partying. Not surprising from a man like Johar , for whom working is as easy as breathing. That is why even the heaviest work burden never bores or tires him !!
Johar has always put in his best efforts to come out on top. He was a school topper when he was a student in Indian School, Kuwait. He was a topper when he studied B.Com in Symbiosis College of Commerce. He has become the top man in the Food Division of Al-Zalhem & Malhotra company , a company he joined as a senior accountant.
Self-confidence , determination and hardwork have been the sustaining strengths of Johar. It is no wonder that he found his ideal business home in Zahem & Malhotra’s group whose inspirational line is “WE CAN and WE MUST” !! Johar is thankful for the support, encouragement and guidance received by him from Mr.D.V.Malhotra.
Under Mr.Malhotra’s grooming, Johar, a Chartered Accountant and an astute learner, became an expert in management and decision making. “My finance background enabled me to take quick and correct decisions ; When problems are converted and expressed in terms of financial implications for the business, it becomes easy to resolve the same”.
Zahem & Malhotra is a well-reputed FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) company and a key distributor in Kuwait for leading Global brands and products . Being a business head for the division is not an easy job. But problems or setbacks could never dent his motivation or deter his efforts. He believes in tackling the root cause of the problem at the initial stage itself.
Johar always had a flair for identifying new business opportunities and has been instrumental in the growth and development of the Zahem & Malhotra group of companies. He can switch readily from macro view-point of the business to micro-management of working details and vice-versa. Perhaps, that is the reason he commands respect from all his employees and business associates..
Pride sparkles in his eyes and enthusiasm radiates when he speaks. His father, Mr.Kutbuddin, came to Kuwait as a worker during 1950 and setup a small shop in Kuwait. Today, Johar manages a mutli-billion dinar business for Zahem & Malhotra Group. But an aurora of simplicity and sincerity surrounds him.
Johar is a native of Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh) and is married to Munira. She is pursuing her Phd in Chemistry and Nutrition Science from Stonebridge University in UK . They are blessed with a baby Yakuta. Johar is interested in sports. He is a cricketer and also has played basketball for his university .
He has many honours and awards to his credit, including a treasured one from the Sunil Gavaskar. One can see that Johar shares the same qualities that made Gavaskar the ‘Little Master’ - Self-confidence, motivation, determination and hardwork. By his successful career, Johar seems to be telling us all - ‘YOU CAN and YOU MUST !!! ‘
