Traditional way of growing a tree is sowing seed or planting sapling, watering, protecting and make to blossom and then reap benefits. It is of course a long term process.
Modern way of growing trees are particularly in oil wealth middle east desert countries, just to uproot the palm trees from the farm and plant it in desired sizes and heights in terraces, parks, high ways or ornamenting around buildings with the help of overhead cranes. This approach is always preferred by Mr. P.K .Ibrahim Kutty who is the Dy. General Manager for Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Center, Fahaheel and that too a secret for his success.
He hailed from an agricultural family of Malabar District, Kerala. He finished M.Com in 1971 from New College, Chennai. As he did not get opt job immediately, he started working for a restaurant run by his uncle for some time. His strong desire was to work in a gulf country and his efforts in attending interviews in Mumbai got him an offer in ARAMCO in 1976 to work as material controller.
He returned to his native Malabar in 1984 thinking that his foreign trip was over and joined to work for a readymade garment shop. This experience induced him to start an own business in Garments Sales. He got an opportunity to be a partner in Saudi Textiles from 1987. During that time, he met Mr. Rabiullah, MD Shifa Medical Center in a party.
Understanding his abilities during the short span of that meeting, Mr. Rabiullah appointed him as PRO for his establishment. His development sooner became Reception In-charge, Admin. Manager and so forth and activities expanded to several branches in Saudi Arabia.
Shifa Al Jazeera Medical Center opened its first branch in Farwaniya , Kuwait which is now shining with 105 dedicated staffs with great support of its customers. The new branch in Fahaheel with an intention to cover ordinary and middle class ex patriots and functioning from July 2011 in main road of Fahaheel in 9 storey building with staff strength of 84.
When we asked about the specialty of these clinics, Ibrahim kutty started to say that there are patients coming from different counties and regions and many of them do not know Arabic/ English. Usually patients feel that 50% of their ailments get cured if they conveyed their problems to the doctors in their own language. That is true.
They have appointed doctors from different regions and countries from India, Pakistan and Bangladesh etc, with different languages such as Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam etc. They have 29 branches in Gulf Countries alone and serve people not only to earn but with the good intention of service to the people.
Here the medical charges are comparatively less and for Master check up KD 12 only, they undertake 29 tests including cardiac test. His simplicity with smile & humor are his strength. His keys for success are positive thinking, proper planning and execution. His confidence and his own way of approach are also his strengths. He will do even ordinary things in an extra ordinary better way, it is his specialty and won't get tired until he achieves with the help of God and his team support.
His service mentality is inborn as his parents and ancestors always having the hospitality to receive people in need. His wife is Mrs. Kadeeja and they have 3 sons and one daughter. Two sons are in hospital management and youngest son looking after business in India.
Ibrahim kutty told us our aim to have full fledged hospital in Kuwait so that poor people also can get treatment in an affordable cost as they are nowadays opting to go their home countries for chronic problems.
