Keralite Engineers' Association Celebrates PAITHRIKAM’ 24
The Keralite Engineers Association in Kuwait, consisting of engineers educated outside Kerala, celebrated its Inaugural and Onam event - 'PAITHRIKAM'24, on October 11, 2024, at Aspire International School in Abbassiya. The celebration began at 10 AM, marking the launch of activities for the 2024-25 year.
The ceremony started with the traditional lighting of the lamp by the women of the organization. Keralite Engineers' Association President Ebey Samuel delivered the Presidential address sharing the greetings to the assembled and shared the exciting events lined up for the year 2024-25. The General Secretary Renju Abraham welcomed the attendees, while the Vice President and Treasurer graced the occasion with their presence on stage. The Arts Secretary expressed gratitude to all participants.
'PAITHRIKAM'24 showcased the rich cultural heritage of Kerala, featuring performances that highlighted various festivals and significant landmarks from the southern to the western regions of the state. Attendees were treated to a nostalgic journey through Kerala's unique art forms, including Thiruvathira, Margamkali, Oppana, and Aranmulla Vanchipatt, as well as vibrant dance performances by children and adults and instrumental music by the youth.
A highlight of the event was a fashion show that unveiled traditional dress styles and art forms from Kerala, captivating the audience. The contributions of senior members Santhosh Kumar G and Marshall Jose were also recognized with special felicitations.
The Onam celebrations attracted over 400 plus attendees, wrapping up at 4 PM with a sense of community and cultural pride.
