Indian Embassy in Kuwait Rescues Stranded Tamil Workers in Kuwait

Indian Embassy Kuwait has successfully rescued seven Tamil workers who were stranded in Kuwait. The workers, who had come to Kuwait to work as delivery men, were facing difficulties due to low wages, withheld passports, and unsustainable living conditions.
These workers are from Tamilnadu and they paid lakhs of Indian rupees to the agent and reached Kuwait in the month of July-2024.
When the workers reached out to Indian Embassy in Kuwait, and the Embassy officials intervention leading to the successful retrieval of the workers' passports from their sponsors and they are safely returned to India and arrived in Chennai last week.
As a token of appreciation, MA Hyder group Chairman Dr. Hyder Ali gifted each worker a mobile phone and assured them to offer job in his company and Velinadu Vazh Tamizhargal Welfare Trust was supporting in coordinating their repatriation. This gesture highlights Kuwait’s Tamil Community commitment to supporting its nationals and the wider Tamil community.
The workers, who were overjoyed to be reunited with their families, expressed their gratitude to Indian Embassy in Kuwait and the TVS Group for their timely intervention.
