ICSK AMMAN CREATES CHARITY FETE - SOULICITUDE
Indian Community School Kuwait Amman strives to develop holistic development of its students through their participation in various activities. The “SOULICITUDE” event aimed to create awareness about poverty and develop the benevolent gesture of sharing and compassion among ICSK students.
The students of Classes VI – X of Amman Branch were told to bring home cooked food, handmade accessories, craft work like paintings, drawings etc which were sold to the parents of the school and the fund raised to be donated to a charitable organization.
Honorary Secretary of Board of Trustees of ICSK Mr. Vijay Kayail inaugurated the event and thanked all the parents for their generous continuing support, participation and rewarding contributions.
The campus was agog with activity as the students were eager to sell their wares to raise funds. The immense success of the event is reflected by hundreds of students, parents and well-wishers who flooded the stalls.
All the funds earned through this unique fete will be donated to “Akshaya Patra Foundation’ which runs India’s Mid-Day Meal Scheme. The foundation aims to provide a prepared mid-day meal to every child in every Government and Government assisted Primary School.
