Nakshatra’s Journey of Academic Brilliance and Service

NakshatraIndian Educational School, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kuwait, proudly announces the outstanding achievement of Grade 12 alumna Nakshatra Neeraja Binu. Nakshatra has earned admission to the prestigious King’s College London for her MBBS degree—an accomplishment marking years of academic excellence, service, and dedication.

Nakshatra first gained recognition in Grade 10 as the Middle East Topper in the CBSE Board Examinations, a feat that placed her among the region’s most exceptional students. Her aspiration to become a doctor was inspired during the COVID-19 pandemic when she witnessed frontline healthcare workers—including her own parents—serve tirelessly. This experience fueled her passion for medicine and set her on a path of focused preparation.

Her medical school application reflected not just academic brilliance but a holistic profile of leadership, compassion, and intellectual curiosity. She completed over 30 online certifications from reputed organizations such as the World Health Organization, the United Nations, and top UK universities. She published a research paper and became a member of the Royal Society of Chemistry and the Royal Society of Physics. Additionally, she earned her AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, preparing herself for clinical practice.

Nakshatra’s commitment to service is equally commendable. She shadowed doctors in India, Kuwait, and virtually in the UK, volunteered with MinD NGO to support people with disabilities, and authored a Handbook on Child Disability to spread awareness. Her volunteer work extended to libraries, environmental initiatives with Eco Warriors, pediatric care in Kuwait hospitals, and hospice service in India. Her YouTube channel on child disability advocacy has crossed one million views, amplifying her impact globally.

A gifted communicator, Nakshatra learned sign language, earned the LAMDA Gold Medal in Public Speaking, mastered the ABRSM piano qualification, and actively participated in Model United Nations and school leadership roles. She also launched a YouTube channel focusing on creative content and public speaking.

Scoring in the 99th percentile on the UK Clinical Aptitude Test (UCAT), she excelled in interviews at top UK universities, including Multiple Mini Interviews at King’s College London. Nakshatra received offers from King’s, Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Manchester—all part of the Russell Group of elite universities.

Choosing King’s College London, she now embarks on her journey to heal and serve humanity. Her story is an inspiring testament to perseverance, compassion, and excellence.

Her journey is a shining example of what perseverance, purpose, and passion can achieve. Nakshatra’s achievement is a true reflection of the spirit of academic brilliance, social responsibility, and leadership that Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan Kuwait strives to nurture in every learner. As she embarks on this noble mission to heal and serve, the Bhavans family celebrates her achievements and wishes her continued success. Her story inspires every learner to innovate, lead, and contribute meaningfully to a better world, perfectly embodying the school’s vision of creating global citizens driven by innovation and excellence.
