EXPEDITION TO DUBAI – IISM

dubaiThe students of India International School, Mangaf had dreamt of exploring the highest, the fastest and the tallest. Their dream came true as they landed on the deserts of Dubai on 2nd December 2016. A warm welcome was extended by the ex-KG head Mrs. Shifana, which brought them back to life. The students were blessed as they got a chance to visit P A Villa, the bungalow of our Chairman, Mr. P. A. Ibrahim. The first day came to an end with the dolphins showcased their tricks.

Everyone set their alarms early the next day to see the tall, taller and the tallest. It began with the mesmerizing view of the world’s luxurious hotel, Burj Al Arab in the sea. The glimpse of all the skyscrapers left them awestruck. The visit to the Dubai Museum turned the time machine hundreds of years back glimpsing the golden days of the Arabian culture and the Dubai Heritage souk spoke further about it. The blue waters of the aquarium brought tranquility and the glimpse of the different fishes portrayed god’s creativity. The trip from the trunk of the spectacular man-made Island Jumeirah Palm to the crescent took them into another world and left them speechless. Out from the palm leaves they stepped on to view the world’s tallest building, The Burj Khalifa. The skyscrapers of Dubai bowed in the heights of the Burj.

Students went to bed dreaming of the fastest. The next day began with the journey to the Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi. As they paved the way into the Ferrari World, the red cars fascinated them, the rides on the fastest and the highest roller coaster carried them into multiverse. The trip over the monuments of Italy flew their imagination to visit the Roman Empire. The call of the red cars made it difficult for them to leave the place. They proceeded for the Sheikh Zayed Mosque. A walk around the 30 acres of the mosque enhanced their inner feeling. The serenity and the beauty of the mosque reminded of the wonders of the world. Before the day ended, a ride on the rhino in the snow clad Dubai deserts left them pumped. Ski Dubai electrified their nerves and made them enlivened as they ran around without wasting a single minute and not bothering about the minus temperature.

The fourth day started with glimpses of a few world records at Malabar Gold and Diamonds. The heaviest ring, model of Burj Khalifa and Grand Mosque made of pure gold carried them to the world of King Midas. The trip would be incomplete without visiting our sister concerns- The Gulf Asian English School, India International School, Sharjah and PACE International School. The friendly talk with the students there helped each other to come closer across the boundaries. They landed back on barren land of Kuwait on 5th Dec 2016.

India International School has always moved forward with the concept of One Family and this trip brought the oneness among the students, they were accompanied by Vice Principals Mr. Saleem and Mrs. Sophy John. The Students thanked the management for giving them this opportunity.
