PRE- PRIMARY ANNUAL ATHELTIC MEET 2016 AT ICSK JUNIOR

The annual Nursery Sports Day was held on February 18^th, 2016 in the Indian Community School Kuwait Junior Campus.

Mrs.Shyamala Raghupathy officially welcomed all for the event. In her opening address, she briefly outlined the importance of sports in holistic learning. Principal in-charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis and Vice-Principal Mrs. Murthy graced the event as chief guests and released the colorful balloons declaring the sports meet open!

In a tradition reminiscent of the Olympic spirit of sportsmanship, the Kindergarten Annual Athletic Meet took off with a brilliant coordinated display by students, bringing us the message of universal brotherhood. Competitive events like track race and obstacle race were held that saw the wholehearted participation of students. The little budding sprinters ran the 50 meters race. Theme-based events were conducted to bring in novelty and motivate children to take part in short races with larger focus. Two friendly games, matching the pair and creating the longest string of newspaper, were arranged for the teaching staff. The spirit and joy of participation by teachers was indeed overwhelming and commendable.

Mrs. Sherly Dennis and Mrs. Gomathy Murthy honored the winners of the various races and awarded them with medals and certificates. In addition to this, they extended their gratitude to the teachers working in complete unison and harmony.

The day was full of fun, cheers, exciting games, and great exhibition of sportsmanship qualities by young students. Mrs. Jude George Swami extended a heartiest vote of thanks for the event. She expressed her sincere gratitude to Mrs. Sherly and Mrs. Murthy for their unconditional support, acknowledged the support of Mrs. Shafika Yunus, supervisor of Pre-Primary section, for being an effective team leader. Teachers working in synergy for all events were applauded with immense fervor.
