FAIPS CELEBRATES SPORTS DAY

The Annual Athletic Sports Meet for the Primary section of FAIPS, Ahmadi was held on Thursday, 17th December, 2015. With a pleasant combination of the warm sun and a cool breeze reflecting the spirit of the energetic and confident children, the day turned out to be perfect in all aspects.
Right at the outset, the choir’s melodious performance of the 2010 football anthem, ‘Wavin Flag’ resonated the inspiration for this year’s Sports Meet- ‘Citius, Altius, Fortius-faster, higher, stronger’-the Olympic motto. Principal, Mrs. Anju Dheman, welcomed the gathering and highlighted the role of sports in developing character and building team spirit. The chief guest, Ms. Rania, Group Sales Manager, Kidzania, declared the meet open amidst loud cheers from the audience and students. Other guests of honour who graced the occasion were Mr. Nagarajan  and Mr. Devesh Kumar from LIC India; Mr. Arvind Sathu, GEANT;  Mr. Khalid Al Muhanna, Dr. Shakkir (KOC Hospital); Mr. Jafar, Kidzania.
The March Past led by the Head Boy and Head Girl was carried out in perfect unison and drew loud applause from all the spectators. The lighting of the torch by Sports Captains and P.E. instructors infused a regal ambience to the field.
Following this, colourful and synchronized drill displays were presented by students of classes 3 and 4. Each drill manifested the vibrancy of colours and spontaneity of childhood ending in a spectacular formation of a star and the sun respectively. The students of class 5 completed the drill displays with their Zumba workout -- a well-choreographed formation to commemorate the milestone of FAIPS completing 20 years of educating children in Kuwait. Students who had won various races and sports competitions were felicitated on this special day.
The day drew to an end with several recreational games being conducted for students, parents, teachers and support staff. The Sports Meet ended with the Indian National Anthem. Another red letter day in the eventful history of FAIPS DPS.
