ICSK Amman Celebrates Teachers Day
ICSK AMMAN CELEBRATES TEACHERS’ DAY
The Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman, celebrated Teachers’ Day this year with full fervour and enthusiasm. The celebrations extended for one whole week i.e. from 6th Sep’15 to 10th Sep’15. Teachers’ Day is celebrated to acknowledge and recognise the hard work put in by teachers for not only imparting knowledge to students but also for making them responsible citizens of tomorrow and good human beings.
Four different assemblies were organized by different classes. The school paid homage to Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the former President of India and a teacher par excellence, whose birthday 5th September is celebrated as teachers’ day in India.
Students of classes VII & VIII presented speeches and group songs with wonderful lyrics dedicated to their teachers. A skit was also presented portraying the significant role played by teachers in the lives of students. The highlight of the programme was the presentation of handmade cards, lovingly prepared by class V students, along with rose flowers to all the teachers.
Class II students presented an eye-catching candle dance in beautiful costumes. They danced along with a video which vividly expressed their love and affection to the teachers. The tiny tots from UKG gave a heart- touching presentation filled with excitement.
The teachers were deeply touched by the students’ performances. Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair conveyed the message to the students that obedience is the best way to express our love to our teachers. He wished all the teachers a wonderful Teachers’ day. Vice-Principal Dr. Mary Isaac also addressed the students on the occasion.
It requires a lot of hard work and dedication to be a good teacher. Even though the teachers can never be thanked through this one day of celebration, yet the students did their best to convey the message that the hard work of teachers is well acknowledged by them.
