ICSK Khaitan organized an imperial Investiture Ceremony
ICSK Khaitan organized an imperial Investiture Ceremony of elected members of school Senate on Thursday, 14th May, 2015. The programme was kicked off with the Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Karayil, Hon. Secretary, BOT, ICSK handing over flags to core senate members. It was superseded by a majestic march past of senate members, house captains, assistant house captains and house prefects to the school auditorium. The ceremony commenced with lightning of lamp by Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Karayil and other PAC Members, Principal and Vice-Principal.
The Investiture of school President, Vice-President, sports captain, arts club secretary, assistant sports club secretary was done by the Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Karayil and it was succeeded by the investiture of house captains and assistant house captains by PAC Members Mrs. Farah, Mrs. Reyana, Mrs. Nameera, Mr. Jithesh and Mr. Omana Kuttan respectively. The oath of office for the newly elected senate was administered by the Principal Mr. K.G. Shirsath.
As a part of honoring high achievers in academics for the year 2014-2015, ICSK Khaitan awarded the students with medals and certificates in the same ceremony.
In his speech, Mr. Vijay Karayil congratulated the elected members of the senate and appreciated the democratic procedure followed for the elections. He motivated the students with electrifying words about their duties as student leaders and further advised the students to develop their personality such that they become good citizens of this world. He also appreciated the team work of school staff in putting together a well-organised programme. He ended with his message as a gospel, “Work together and grow together.”
The songs sung by school choir and school senate were veritably enthralling and inspiring. The ceremony came to an end with the vote of thanks proposed by school President Master Mohammed Mishal.
