ICSK AMMAN  SENATE INVESTITURE CEREMONY  “LAUNCHING   FUTURE LEADERS”

 

The senate members of the Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman, formally assumed office after the investiture ceremony held at the school auditorium on 10^th May, 2015.  The school senate council was democratically elected after a colourful and long drawn campaign in the school campus.

Senate members constituted by President - Adithya Narayan, Vice President - Tania Thankam, President - Kalayni R. Rajesh Kumar (afternoon shift), Vice- President Jawad Shareef Mohammed(afternoon shift), Sports Captain- Abdul Mohsin,  Asst. Sports Captain - Phebe Roy, Arts Club Secretary - Steffi Biju, Asst. Arts Club Secretary - Rachel Edwin, House Captain (Seva) - Febin M. Varghese, Asst. House Captain - Sara Sayed, House Captain (Shanti ) - Richi Jacob, Asst. House Captain - Naman Dagariya, House  Captain (Sahyog) - Swithin Roy,  Asst. House Captain - Astha Vijay, House Captain (Santosh) - Ashwin Sabu, Asst. House Captain - Adora Flory & Nooreen Kaur.

The swearing in ceremony was attended by various notabilities and invited guests. Hon. Secretary to the Board of Trustees Mr. Vijay Karayil graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. After a traditional welcome, the school choir set the tone for the programme through a melodious inspirational song.

Principal Mr. Rajesh Nair C. welcomed the Chief Guest, board members, PAC members, the parents and briefed the audience about the senate.   Chief Guest of the occasion Mr. Vijay Karayil and other dignitaries invested the badges of office following by an oath taking constituted by Principal.   The Chief Guest and other members invested the School President, Vice President, Sports Captain etc with badges of office.

The Chief Guest Mr. Vijay Karayil addressed the young office bearers of the senate and reminded them that they should be role models both in action and behaviour.  He delivered a motivational speech emphasizing the true meaning and significance of leadership.  Indeed it was a proud moment as the council received their badges.

The investiture ceremony also witnessed the release of the School Senate Constitution 2015 by Dr. Binumon, Prinicpal - ICSK Senior.

The newly invested Senate President Master Adithya Narayanan, on behalf of the student body, delivered his acceptance speech. Vote of thanks was proposed by Vice-President Ms. Tania Thankam.

Senate Advisor Mrs. Aleyamma Satheesh in her speech,  advised the senate members to attempt the best to uphold the name and fame of the school in the days to come.  Newly invested senate members marched out into the bright world with confidence to administer their duties well and diligently in the current academic year.
