ICSK AMMAN BRANCH LIFTS THE “AMAZING DANCES OF INDIA” WINNERS TROPHY

The students of the Indian Community School Kuwait, Amman Branch,  brought pride and glory to the institution when they lifted the ‘Amazing Dances of India’ Winners’ Trophy at an Inter-School Dance Competition organised by the Indian Embassy Kuwait. The theme of the dance competition “Incredible India – a journey through States” was ethnic, classical or folk dances.  The competition was held at the Indian Embassy on 8^th November, 2014 and 16 schools of Kuwait participated in the event which showcased various dance forms of India. The ICSK Amman students performed the “Bharatnatyam” dance.  The performance was highly appreciated by the judges and the audience.  The Amman branch students who were part of the winning team are Ms. Swathi Nandakumar, Ms. Anamika Anilkumar, Ms. Shakambari Sridhar, Ms. Athira Rajendran, Ms. Amalindu Anilkumar, Ms. Nikhitha Jayalakshmi, Ms. Devipriya Jayesh, Ms. Ashwariya  Ullas. Also, the “Overall Best Dance Performer” award was won by Ms. Anamika Anilkumar of ICSK Amman.

Students’ rhythmic movements with graceful posture and expressions instilled the beauty of the dance.  Their costumes and overall appearances were extremely fabulous.  The Principal of ICSK Amman Mr. Rajesh Nair C, appreciated all the participants for their dedication and intensity. He also lauded the efforts of the teachers who had choreographed the dance for their hard work and skilled guidance.
