ICSK JUNIOR CONDUCTS INVESTITURE CEREMONY

The Indian Community School Kuwait, Junior Branch, held a grand Investiture Ceremony on Monday 12th May, 2014. The serene and solemn ceremony commenced with the recitation of verses from the holy Quran, followed by Kuwait National Anthem. The function was graced by esteemed chief guest Mr. Gangadhar Shirshath, Principal Khaitan Branch, Mr. Ajay George Hon. Member to the Board of Trustees, Deputy PAC Representative to the Board from Junior Branch Mr. Biju P Abraham, PAC members Mr. Suresh K.P and Mr. Manoj Mathew.
Lighting of the ceremonial lamp of knowledge was accompanied by soft music played in the back ground. In the oldest Indian Institution in Kuwait, with an existence of over 5 decades, all newly inducted office bearers of year 2014-2015, silhouetted with glory against this light of knowledge. The school choir, in perfection with their melodious song, echoed the theme of the event.
Vice-Principal Mrs. Murthy gave the opening address. Further, she explained the election procedure that was conducted in stages.
The young, energetic and enthusiastic leaders, marched in rhythm to the slow drum beat in perfection. The badges were then officially invested upon the Senate members.
Oath-taking ceremony was executed by Principal in-charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis, reminding elected members their unswerving sense of commitment as an individual to the self and the school. As they took their oath of responsibility, they stood with their heads held high with firm resolution and self confidence.
Mr. Gangadhar Shirshath, Principal Khaitan Branch, through a simple anecdote asked elected students to provide the right direction with utmost humility and dignity for their friends and juniors, which would help in the smooth governance of the school.
Mr. Ajay George, Honorary member to the Board of Trustees, in his address, advised the newly elected members to be the architects of the future and builders of a dynamic vision thereby leaving behind a solid legacy in the sands of time for all to cherish.
It is indeed an honor for the best students to get democratically elected to the senate of ICSK Junior branch. The school senate is a student governing body which is under the able guidance of Senate Advisor Mrs.Meena Raicar this year.
The President of the School Senate Ms. Julia Ann Powell proposed a hearty vote of thanks.
