ICSK KHAITAN TECHIES WIN SHASTROTSAV PRIZE

ICSK

It’s that time of the year again and it’s raining laurels at ICSK Khaitan. The young techies were seen, back in action at the recent Festival of Science Exhibition-Shaastrotsav 2014 conducted by NSS College of Engineering Alumni Association (Kuwait) and IIK.The Senior and Junior teams guided by Mrs. Minarva Ramesh and Mrs. Sumitha Shanmughan, wowed the spectators with their cutting edge ideas which took form of immaculately executed prototypes. Battling it out with over 20 teams, the Junior team led by Akshay Girish Kumar and fellow mates Jeffin Job,Ayman Nayeem and Manar Muhammed walked away with the 2nd Prize for the Best Science Project. These 8th standard kids captured the imagination of propelling a rocket with hydrogen released from water. You just missed the sight of a lifetime; if you haven’t seen their small red rockets attain escape velocity and leave in pursuit of outer space. Closely behind, the Senior team led by Abhinav Girish Kumar and group mates Suhad,Adil and Rohan Jacob, tickled the grey cells of the spectators  with their project ‘Waste Management by Plasma Gasification’. These promising young scientists have done their school proud, with their amazing creativity and hardwork. Afterall, we, at ICSK, like to do stuff in our own way.
