ICSK JUNIOR CELEBRATES CHRISTMAS

 ‘Good news from heaven the angels bring, glad tidings to the earth they sing, to us this day a child is given, to crown us with the joy of heaven.’

With festive spirit and joy in their hearts, the students of ICSK Junior celebrated Christmas with a special Assembly on Tuesday the 24^th, December, 2013 in the school premises.

The special Assembly commenced with recitation from the Holy Quran, the school prayer and the ‘thought for the day’ which was very apt for the occasion.

Christmas is the time of the year filled with fun and frolic. The students of the ICSK Junior Branch gave an outstanding treat to their friends and teachers on the joyous occasion. The assembly was conducted in a grand way in two segments to accommodate children of the entire school. The highlight of the assembly were melodious carols meticulously rendered by students, the depiction of birth of Jesus Christ in a manger, scenes conveying the message of Jesus and the spectacular nativity scene. Tiny tots from classes I to III performed to a foot-tapping dance number. The entry of Santa Claus and the movement of the bright Star from the centre of the courtyard to the stage enthralled everyone. Principal In-charge Mrs. Sherley Dennis addressed the Assembly enlightening students and teachers to understand the significance of peace, love, justice, the joy of giving and caring in a stress filled human life, giving priority to the life of the least, lost and last. The portals of the school, indeed, had a great colorful ambience that put everyone in the mood for Christmas.
