Now is the best time to stargaze because Neptune is closest to Earth.

The Ol-Ajairi Scientific Center has announced that Neptune will be at its closest point to Earth today, Saturday. During this event, the giant blue planet will be fully illuminated by the sun, making it visible throughout the night and shining brighter than at any other time this year.

This rare alignment presents the best opportunity for stargazing and photography. According to the center, Neptune will appear as a small blue dot in the sky when viewed through a small telescope in Kuwait. For those with larger telescopes, more detailed views of the planet’s features will be possible.

Upcoming Celestial Event

In addition, the center noted that tomorrow, Sunday, the moon will rise around 10 PM, coinciding with the Pleiades star cluster. This conjunction will be visible with the naked eye in the eastern sky and will remain observable until it fades at sunrise.
