Kuwait Will Receive an Improved Covid-19 Vaccine

To prevent Coronavirus and its mutants from increasing infections during the next few weeks, the Ministry of Health is considering providing a booster dose with the enhanced vaccine.

According to sources, an enhanced (booster) vaccine for Moderna will soon arrive in Kuwait, preparing for the start of booster doses for those who wish to receive them in order to combat new mutations and build continuous immunity among the population.

Kuwait's Ministry of Health announced on Wednesday the discovery of a mutant Coronavirus called XBB.1.5, which belongs to a subset of Omicron mutants.

The Ministry reaffirmed the stability of the epidemiological situation and the lack of anxiety, while emphasizing the importance of adhering to prevention guidelines.
