A local newspaper reported that Kuwaiti government employees would get three days off for the New Year's holiday.

Al Anba quoted "well-informed" sources as saying the holiday will take place on Sunday, January 1.

It will be a three-day New Year's holiday in the country because Friday and Saturday are weekends.

On Monday, January 2, employees will return to work.

Sources indicate that government agencies providing special services will need to consider the common good when determining their holidays.
