A trial operation of "Apple Pay" has begun at some malls in Kuwait, using iPhones and Apple smartwatches. The trail run is in preparation for its public use in all commercial outlets in the country. The 'Apple Pay' payment is accepted at all points of sale connected to the Kuwait payments network.

Kuwait's Ministry of Finance and Direct Investment Promotion Authority had earlier agreed to operate the service with Apple.
