IMA-Ladies Wing Organizes Annual Qur’an Hifz Competition
Indian Muslim Association-Ladies Wing successfully conducted its "Annual Qur’an Hifz Competition on January 13, 2024." This yearly event aims to inspire girls and women to memorize the Qur’an.
The competition featured three (3) categories:
1. Huffazah group
2. Girls group: 13-23 years of age
3. Women group: Women above 23 years of age
Participants were assigned Surah Mulk and Surah Yaseen for memorization in the girls and women categories, respectively along with dua "Sayyidul-Istighfar."
The competition took place at two locations, Salmiya and Mangaf, for the convenience of the participants. A total of 57 girls and women enthusiastically participated. The judging panel consisted of experts in Tajweed/Tafseer, including teachers from IPC and other reputable organizations.
Winners and participants were acknowledged with certificates, trophies, and prizes.
The Indian Muslim Association-Kuwait, operating under the patronage of the Ministry of Awqaf & Islamic Affairs, Kuwait, remains committed to providing a platform for the intellectual and social development of expatriates in Kuwait. The organization anticipates organizing more beneficial programs in the future, catering to the needs of expatriates, particularly the Indian diaspora in Kuwait.
