Over and above being materialistic in this commercialized world, social responsibility should be inherent in every person. A government alone cannot be expected to satisfy the essential needs of each and every citizen in the country. Private or Non-Private - Public investment alone, would, be a solution to this. We,  from our end, as a part of Corporate Social Responsibility, have sponsored many social projects like education and health to the deprived society.

It was full of turmoil with ups and downs. But my ultimate aim to see to it, the each and every individual gets a piece of land or abode. Lets us get closer to him and know more about his passion, vision and future plans in this realty sector ”.

He had a very humble beginning from kallur, pudhuvayol, a small humlet in the district of Karaikudi. His early schooling started at Saraswathy Vidhyalaya and at St.Machels. Since there was no scope to continue his  high schooling, proceeded to Chittalachi Memorial Higher Secondary school  and finally finished his higher secondary at Ramanathan Chettiar Memorial Higher Secondary School.

Real estate and construction have now turned out to be my bread and butter. But he feels the passion should have been inherent in him right from school days.

As a student of eleventh standard, they were asked to design a Project and display at CERCI campus at Karaikudi. To Everyone’s Surprise he made an exact replica of his Home town that received the appreciation of not only the panel of judges, but also all  fellow participants. He fondly recall with joy the momentous moment he received the first prize for his project from none other than the senior pontiff of Karaikudi Adheenam.

His father was working as a driver of the State owned of then Thiruvallur Transport Corporation. As his family was struggling to both ends meet, he had no alternative but to settle in for some kind of a job. He too applied for a post in Transport Corporation but was not lucky enough to get selected and  was bid upset. Was it a boon or a bane? But as luck would have played, his fortunes began to take shape.

I owe my sincere gratitude’s to my mentors Mr.Murugesan and Dr. Ramadoss who were instrumental in the phenomenal growth of my career. My wife SHANTHI JEEVA, ( BE., MBA )is the backbone of my company and take care of the entire administration coupled with meticulous planning and execution.

There are a lot of promoters in the real estate industry who cater to the upper strata of the society. But as a modest person who still believes has his roots in villages, he thought it is his bounden duty to provide vacant lands for housing to the middle class section of the company under the banner Tamil Nadu Engineers Housing and Welfare Trust and SJ Associates an associate arm of the earlier one.

Tamil Nadu Engineers Housing and Welfare Trust was formed on 26/12/06 by uniting all the engineers irrespective of their grade such as secondary grade, higher official etc. and all other ministerial staff attached to private industries,public industries, information technology, engineering colleges to take care of the welfare of their families.

They  first launched  interest free land scheme to middle class section of the people especially the government employees, who could not dream to buy a plot in the present scenario and who could not pay the total cost in lump sum as well.

The response  got from the public was overwhelming and tremendous, beyond their  anticipation wherever they  launched their  projects.

They  follow a novel method of selling plots. Theydo not buy any land in acres in advance and then divide them as plots and market them. They convene for a meeting with the landowners in association with the local Panchayat leaders who are familiar with the residents and respective lands as well.

They  act as mediators in convincing the landowners to sell  property to  customers in the presence of local Panchayat leaders during the transaction to instill confidence on them. The landowners feel happy that they were paid a handsome amount and we from their end also feel glad that they were also able to transfer the ownership of property in the entire area to  customers.

They  guarantee' 100% transparency and mutual satisfaction. To add more fillip to  plan, they  arranged for a buyer seller meet in the presence of bankers. The experts from banks helped those who were eager to buy plots but were short of money by explaining about the various types of loans offered by them. People from all parts of the city poured and many who came empty handed returned as proud plot owners. State Bank of India, who were the backbone of their Property Fair.

The turning point in thier career was the offer  received from 'Madras University Staff AssociationsMembers'(MUSAM).

Thisprestigious project registered in the name of ThanneerkulamTownship Project' is about 3 kmfrom Tiruvallur railway station and to be precise 1 km from Putlur railway station. The total area of the land is 120 acres consisting about 1500 plots each measuring in various sizes viz. 1500, 800, 2000 and 2400 sq.ft and needless to mention the project was a runaway success.

Jeeva whole heartedly congratulates Dr Sbyam Sundar - President of MUSASM who took the initiative to convince each and every staff member to buy the plot in Thaneerkulam Township Project. This confirms the confidence and trust reposed on themand it is beyond doubt that their  sincerity and hard work paid rich dividends.

They also have plans to venture into construction as a value added service to theirexisting customers who bought land from themand for those who approach  exclusively for construction alone. Almost all the plot owners who bought the land from them requested  to construct the house for them.

Initially they  were hesitant to accept the offer, as they were already hands full in the job of selling plots. Venturing into construction would mean not only an additional investment but also additional responsibility.

Jeeva also takes this opportunity to thank State Bank of India who never failed to extend their arms of help whenever and wherever they launched theirprojects. Their humane approach to  customers, who is desirous to buy a land but were short of money, is something laudable and praise worthy.But for their full-fledged support hisambition to see that each and every middle class family got a home to live in would not have been complete.

 “Each and every bird builds its own nest. When a bird can have its own nest, why not we human beings have a home? This may sound a trillion dollar question, but my mission and vision is to see that each and everyone has his own home
to
live in,”concludes Mr.Amara Jeeva.
