Little Green Fingers at IISM

13 to 17 December was marked and celebrated as ‘Go Green week’, at India International School. Green and greener was the colour scheme that decked the classrooms and the campus.

Supporting the initiative, students indulged themselves in a variety of its concepts such as management of waste by grade I, nourishing the nature by grade II, the importance of the four R’s – reduce, recycle, reuse and replace by grade III, evaluating and educating the community of environmental impacts by grade IV and conservation of natural resources as a child by grade V.

Charts, slogans, write ups, banners, working model and craft work out of waste were the highlights of the exhibits. Students were encouraged to nurture seeds into plants. The response was so overwhelming that a ‘mini garden’ adorns the entrance of the school. Special assembly with students dressed in various blends of green perfectly culminated as the grand finale but our pledge to green living continues…..
