Education is the key to success
The key to success opened!!!!!
Yes, ICSK Amman witnessed a meaningful and wonderful debate by our talented class 10 students on Monday the 16th December 2014 to a resounding welcome from the students and teachers as well.
The debate was part of our Co curricular activity and was conducted in a very disciplined manner by our students. The topic of the debate: “Education is the key to success” was unanimously accepted by both the affirmative and the negative team. The proceedings were well started by the moderator of the event Miss. Anna Anil Thayyil of class 10A ably assisted by the time keeper Miss. Ashifa Sayed of class 10A. The affirmative team was represented by Master. David Mathew of class 10 B with Miss. Anamika Anil Kumar and Master. Mani Mahadevan of class 10A and the negative team was headed by Master. Dhruv Sharma of Class 10 D with Master. Chrisle Joseph Charls of class 10D and Miss. Rinu Mariya Sunil of Class 10C as his team mates.
Both teams did a wonderful job by presenting their respective points with valid reasons, statistics and support materials. The points were very clearly stated by both teams with the affirmative team supporting the prescribed method of theoretical learning while the negative team stressed upon the aspects of practical learning as the key to success in one’s life. The question answer session that followed after the constructive speeches and summation by the captains was thoroughly enjoyed by one and all. The audiences were then given an opportunity to interact with the contestants. The audience asked keen, intelligent and pertinent questions to which the contestants responded with equal aplomb. On the whole all the teachers present and the Principal not only enjoyed the wonderful show put up the students but also appreciated the debate. This event has evoked a keen interest among the students and staff calling for more of such similar events to be organized at every opportunity possible.
