The Indian Community School, Senior hosted its 63rd Aashirvaad – The Blessing Ceremony on Saturday, 31st January 2026, honouring the journey, achievements and dreams of its 431 outgoing Class XII students. The ceremony was a touching tribute to the students’ journey, celebrating their achievements while blessing them as they step into a new chapter of life with confidence, humility and determination.
The prestigious occasion was graced by the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay K. Muluka, Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy of India, Kuwait. Also present were Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Azharuddin Amer Muhammed, Hon. Secretary to the Board of Trustees, Mr. Vinukumar Nair, Hon. Vice Chairman Secretary to the Board of Trustees, along with the Principals and Vice Principals of all ICSK branches.
The ceremony began on a vibrant note with a grand welcome for the dignitaries. As the guests entered the auditorium, they were welcomed by melodious music, colourful décor and resounding applause, setting the tone for an evening filled with pride and celebration.
The programme opened with a soulful recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by Master Zain Abdul Shakoor, followed by Aaradhana, a heartfelt invocation rendered by the school choir Swaranjali, seeking divine blessings for the graduating students. The gathering honored the National Anthem of Kuwait.
Welcoming the audience, Dr. V. Binumon, Principal and Senior Administrator of ICSK, addressed the students with warmth and affection. His simple yet profound message urged students to choose love over hatred, avoid comparisons, believe in themselves, remain kind, and above all, and respect their parents.
The programme was formally inaugurated with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp, symbolising knowledge and enlightenment, by esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay K. Muluka along with Dr. V. Binumon.
In a special video message, H.E. Ms. Paramita Tripathi, Ambassador of India to Kuwait, congratulated the students and encouraged them to value character over marks. She emphasized the importance of self-respect, respect for family and country, responsible decision-making, and carrying forward the timeless values of India.
Addressing the gathering, the esteemed Chief Guest, Shri Sanjay K. Muluka offered words of wisdom. He urged the students to remain humble, empathetic and honest, to respect their parents and teachers.
In a proud moment for ICSK, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees was honoured with a memento by CBSE at its first International Conference in Dubai, recognizing his outstanding contribution to education. The award was formally presented on stage to the Hon. Chairman by Shri Sanjay K. Muluka.
The prestigious CBSE Gulf Sahodaya Excellence Awards were presented by the esteemed Chief Guest to the outstanding achievers. At the Middle East level, Miss Aabida Rafik Chikte secured the Third Position in the Science Stream, while Miss Ann Niya Jose earned the Third Position in the Humanities Stream, bringing great honour to the institution.
At the Kuwait level, ICSK students continued to shine with remarkable results. Miss Aabida Rafik Chikte emerged as the First Position holder in the Science Stream, followed by Master Jothan John Anthony Cardozo, who secured the Second Position in the Science stream. Miss Anam Anwar Kazi achieved the First Position in the Commerce Stream, while Miss Ann Niya Jose stood as the Topper in the Humanities Stream. Miss Regina Menezes secured the Second Position in Commerce stream. In Class X, Miss Jhanvi Radhakrishnan earned the Third Position in Kuwait, adding further distinction to the school’s achievements.
The ceremony also featured the presentation of the ICSK Laureate Awards, honouring the school toppers in the CBSE Examination 2024–25. In the Science Stream, Aabida Rafik Chikte secured the First Position, Jothan John Anthony Cardozo the Second Position, while the Third Position was jointly shared by Aayush Vaibhav Kadam and Fida Lahir. In the Commerce Stream, Amritha Sanjay Nair secured the First Position, followed by Mohammed Atifuddin Amer in Second Position and Sakina Patharia in Third Position. In the Humanities Stream, Ann Niya Jose emerged as the First Position holder, with Zainab Kuresh Dola securing the Second Position and Gwyneth Michelle D’Souza the Third Position.
The Class X toppers of ICSK Senior were also felicitated, with Aniruddh Vimal securing the First Position, Betsy Susan Jacob the Second Position, and Husain Phalasiya the Third Position. The ICSK Amman toppers included Jhanvi Radhakrishnan in First Position, Elvin Binu Varghese and Sreya Eldho sharing the Second Position, and Renisha Liyona D’Souza securing the Third Position.
In addition to academic toppers, the ceremony recognized students who demonstrated consistent perseverance and excellence in academics. Subject toppers were honoured, and special recognition was accorded to students who achieved 100% attendance, applauding their discipline and commitment.
As a mark of appreciation, Mr. Shaikh Abdul Rahiman, Hon. Chairman to the Board of Trustees, presented a memento to the esteemed Chief Guest. The celebrations continued with an uplifting musical performance by Swaranjali, spreading hope, positivity and confidence among the graduates.
A touching video presentation followed, capturing the students’ journey at ICSK—moments of laughter, learning and lifelong friendships. One of the most emotional highlights was the medley of memories shared by student representatives, Master Tanish Sabu P., Chairman of the School Senate, Miss Irin Claris Jaise, Chairperson of the school senate, Miss Adara Syed Ibrahim (Science), Master Ranov Pratap (Commerce), Miss Sarah Ann Thoman (Humanities) and Master Asher Glindid (NIOS). Their heartfelt reflections stirred nostalgia and gratitude across the auditorium.
The teachers of ICSK then took centre stage, offering their blessings and heartfelt wishes to the graduating batch, encouraging them to face the world with courage, wisdom and compassion.
Dressed in graduation caps and gowns, the students, along with their families, received mementos and captured treasured moments with the dignitaries. Mr. George Swamy, Chief Coordinator of Aashirvaad, expressed his sincere gratitude to the entire ICSK family for making the event a grand success.
A truly magical moment unfolded during the prayer and blessing led by Dr. V. Binumon, as the entire auditorium glowed with the soft light of lamps, accompanied by serene music. The school management, guests, parents, teachers and students united in prayer, blessing the outgoing batch with health, happiness and success.
The exhortation was delivered by Mrs. Susan Rajesh, Vice Principal of ICSK Senior, urging students to uphold integrity, wisdom and compassion, and to spread the light of knowledge wherever life takes them.
The evening concluded with a dinner, marking Aashirvaad 2026 as a celebration of hope, gratitude and new beginnings. As students bid farewell to the institution that nurtured their growth, moments of joy and emotion reflected the strong bonds and lasting memories they carry forward into the next phase of their lives.
