FUN FIESTA at IIS,Mangaf.

In order to have a change from the beaten academic track, India International School organized an outdoor Fun Fiesta for its IX –XII students on 16th April 2015. It was a complete outdoor session as a part of their Work Experience.‘Man is a social being’. He needs to live with certain social responsibilities. To make the students more circumspective, the fun filled outdoor sports activities were clubbed withsocially useful productive works. The students had a gala time making the beach colourful in the process of learning to fly kites.

The excitement of the students knew no bounds while the innumerable kites soared high.This was followed by Cricket and Throw Ball matches organized by the Physical Education department. In spite of the scorching sun, all the students participated in the matches sportively.Sarabhai house won the cricket match and class X and XII won the Throw Ball matches.

The main target of the activity was creating an awareness of social commitment without feeling the burden of it. So slowly the frisky ambiance gave way to a serious act of cleaning the beach. It was a satiating sight to see the youngsters move about carrying the garbage bags with great energy. It was a three-in-one operation: a creative CCA activity, a healthy outdoor physical exercise and a good sign of social responsibility.
The activities were divided into 3 segments-
1. Beach Cleaning – Work Experience
2. Flying Kites- CCA
3. Throw Ball(Girls) – Physical Education Cricket (Boys) - Physical Education
Class teachers, subject teachers, discipline in charges and the Vice Principal, Mr. Saleem accompanied the students.
The activities were divided into 3 segments-
