ICSK SENIOR CONDUCTS IMPRESSIVE SENATE INVESTITURE
The Indian Community School Kuwait, Senior, witnessed the swearing in ceremony of the school senate members on Thursday, 30th April, 2015. The democratically elected senate members pledged their allegiance to the school in the midst eminent dignitaries. The Ambassador of Bangladesh to Kuwait, His Excellency Major General Mohammad Ashab Uddin, was the chief guest of the function, the members of the board of trustees, the Principal, the Vice Principal, teachers and staff were present at the ceremonious function.
Amid the changing scenario of the present day curriculum, equipping children to assume their place in the society, as responsible, productive and useful members remains the essential objective of education. This helps in shaping successful leaders with a spirit to overcome setbacks with unwavering perseverance.
The Senate Advisor, Mrs. Mini Shaji Joseph, welcomed the distinguished gathering. The Chief Guest, His Excellency Major General Mohammad Ashab Uddin in his inaugural address spoke about being an inspirational leader with an insight that would raise a person's performance beyond the normal frame work. A nation progresses when courageous and skillful leaders seize the opportunity to change things for the betterment of the society. His Excellency affirmed that honesty and leadership skills go hand in hand. In order to create an impact on the society the leader has to possess qualities like honesty, integrity and truthfulness. These virtues are mandatory in associating the emotion of the community with the leader.
The Senate members were invested with their badges of office followed by an oath taking administered by the Principal, Dr. V. Binumon. The Chief Guest, His Excellency Major General Mohammad Ashab Uddin, conferred the school President , the Vice-Presidents, Sports Captain and Arts Club Secretary with their badges of office. The Senate members including the House Captains and Assistant House Captains of the four houses named Shanti, Seva, Sahyog and Santhosh along with the class prefects were administered the oath and invested with badges of office.
The Vice-Chairman of the Board of Trustees Mr. Bobby A Mathew expressed his happiness on the occasion and enumerated upon the qualities of a true leader in the felicitation message. An exemplary leader inspires and captures the imagination and ignites the hearts and minds of the ones around them. He pointed out to the young leaders that if their actions inspired others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more; then they are true leaders. He congratulated the elected members and inspired them to set an example worth emulation.
The Honorary Secretary to the board of Trustees Mr. Vijay Karayil presented a memento on behalf of the school as a token of appreciation and gratitude to The Chief Guest , His Excellency Major General Mohammad Ashab Uddin.
The newly invested Senate President Master Syed Muhammad Baqir delivered the vote of thanks to the invited guests, school faculty and the students. He pledged to do his best to uphold the name of the great institution in the days to come. The newly elected senate members marched out proudly with their titles and responsibilities, confident and sure to administer their duties diligently.
