ICSK Senior French Club Inauguration
ICSK Senior school students Organized a grand inaugural ceremony of French club on Wednesday,21 May 2014 at the senior school auditorium. Professor Joseph Fiannaca ,the Head of the Department of French at the American University was the Chief guest to the ceremony.
The function was attended by Dr.V.Binumon the principal -ICSK Senior ,The VicePrincipal Dr.Sam T Kuruvilla,teachers,students and staff of the school.
The chief guest Prof.Joseph Fiannaca ,honored the event by formally inaugurating the club through a ceremonious cake cutting followed with the symbolic lighting of lamp.He addressed the gathering with words of appreciation for the enthusiasm of the club members in organizing such an endeavor.Mr.Fiannaca invited the students to a musical held by AUK at Radisson Hotel and extended the invitation to the Senior students for a visit to AUK campus followed by an interactive session.
Dr.V Binumon,the Principal released the logo of the club and spoke on the importance of learning languages .He emphasized upon the benefits of being multi linguistic for success in various fields of life. The Vice principal Dr.Sam T Kuruvilla addressed the gathering with words of praise for the synchronized organizing abilities of the students. Mrs.Jayabala Jayaram ,the French club coordinator ,introduced the office bearers of the club for the academic year 2014-15.Student representatives including Miss Simran Chabba and Master Akshay Kumar addressed the gathering.
A melange of dance and music added flavor and colour to the function emboldening the determination of the club members to be proactive through out the year. Through such a grand beginning they vowed that " Commencer, c'est avoir à moitié fini. "
