ICSK JUNIOR CELEBRATES NURSERY SPORTS DAY

The Pre-Primary section of The Indian Community School Kuwait, Junior branch, held their Annual Athletics Meet in the premises, on Monday 24^th February 2014. Sports and games are an integral element of present day education. With this commitment, the event is organised every year. The sports meet was declared open by the Principal in-charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis. Children of LKG and UKG were seated in discipline to participate in the event. Before the official ceremony, the national Anthems of Kuwait and India were sung with patriotism by all children. The welcome address by teacher Mrs. Sakina Hakimuddin was delivered defining the objectives of the event for children. Children were given an opportunity to showcase their sporting skills and the school premises were full of positive energy and bubbling enthusiasm. The display routine by the tiny tots was the icing on the cake as they performed the PE exercises to the foot tapping music. The choice of the track events infused energy and healthy sportive spirits in the athletes. The teachers displayed their fervor as they took part in the staff event. The finale of the day was the official prize distribution ceremony when the proud winners received their medals from Principal In-charge Mrs. Sherly Dennis and Vice-Principal Mrs. Murthy.
