Frontliner Milestone

The Frontliners – Part 15 book was released by “PadmaShri” D.R.Kaarthikeyan IPS in a glittering show of music & dance on 27th May 2011 at Al-Jeel Al-Jadeed School, Hawally. The book, compiled by Writer N.C.Mohandoss, founder of the Frontliners Association, Kuwait, focused on environmental aspects and contains articles and valuable information on a host of issues and tips to individuals to the way they can contribute to preserve environment.

While “Padma Shri” D.R.Kaarthikeyan IPS, former-Director, CBI and Director General, National Human Rights Commission,India was the Chief Guest. The book-release function of Frontliners had many dignitaries and a fully-packed audience with thundering hall of enthusiastic, supporters and well-wishers of Frontliners. Among those who graced the occasion were Mr.Vidhu P. Nair, Charge d’affaires, Embassy of India, Kuwait, Mrs.Wajdan Al Oqab, General Secretary of the Kuwait Environment Protection Society , Mrs.Aalia Al-Shaalan , “Climate Change’ Campaign, Kuwait, Ms.Hilal Al-Sayer and Dr.Saleha Al Moosa.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“Padma Shri” D.R.Kaarthikeyan IPS, former-Director, CBI and Director General, National Human Rights Commission, India was the Chief Guest. Mr.Anis Ahmed, President, Frontliners welcomed the gathering. Mr.Laks- Advisor, Frontliners gave a brief description of the welfare-activities carried out by the Frontliners Team for the past 15 years. Mr. Mohandoss, Founder, Frontliner, spoke about the worker -welfare activities undertaken by Frontliners under excellent leadership of Mr.K.Mathi, General Secretary. Mr.Singaravelu, Vice-President introduced the Chief Guest. The dignitaries, guests and sponsors were presented with garlandes, bouquets and memontos.

“Padma Shri” .D.R.Kaarthikeyan appreciated the NRIs in Kuwait for their toiling in a foreign country far away from India to facilitate the betterment of the lives of their families. He requested them to continue to help others who are less-fortunate and needy. He stressed that this could be done by everyone, irrespective of their current status of income and wealth, albeit in different scales. He drove home the message that “Nothing is impossible” by mentioning about the way the daunting and apparantly impossible task of investigation of the murder of Rajiv Gandhi was successfully completed by his team in a record time. He gave real-life examples of how to be content and thankful to God for the facilities we have rather than complain about things we do not have.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Wajdan appreciated Frontliners for selecting ‘Environment’ as the topic for their current book and noted that the huge gathering for the function is a proof of the concern of the people to save the environment and a bright indication of success in doing so.

Ms. Aaalia of the Kuwait Climate Change Campaign sought the support of the public for spreading awareness about the environmental challenges faced by Kuwait and assist in solving the same.

The programme was studded with enthralling performances from popular singers, cine and TV artistes - Mr.Sai Ram, Mr.Narendra - Mrs.Deepa, Mr Raj Kamal - Mrs.Latha Rao . The local “Sangamam” troupe kept the evening lively with fantastic performance by young kinds to senior singers and dancers with the local singers Mr.Ganegesh,Mr.Ganesh &Miss Swathi. The compering by Mr.Kandanathan ,Mrs.Abilasha and Miss Ann Tissa maintained excellent rapport with the audience. They themselves became stars in the evening !!!

Mr. Jopseph Panicker proposed vote-of-thanks to the guests, sponsors and audience. The meticulous preparations done by the organizing committee Mr.Lakshman,Mr.Arumugam Mr.Mariappan, & Mrs.Anita the entire evening was a memorable and enjoyable one. Frontliners team could count it as one more feather in their cap !!
