The 28th GCC Civil Service Technical Meeting is being held in Kuwait
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) of Kuwait hosted the 28th meeting of the Technical Committee for Civil Service Affairs in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The event brought together key representatives from various government authorities to boost cooperation in the field of public sector development and innovation.
According to a statement issued through CSC’s official X account, the committee addressed all scheduled agenda items. Key topics included joint civil service training initiatives, exchange of expertise, recognizing distinguished professionals, and improving the quality of government services provided to citizens and residents.
A core highlight of the meeting was the formulation of the Gulf Strategic Plan for Civil Service (2026–2030). Delegates emphasized the importance of aligning this strategic plan with global trends, notably digital transformation and corporate governance reforms, to enhance operational efficiency and institutional performance across GCC member states.
Participants underlined the need for sustained collaboration in the domain of human resource development. This includes fostering innovation, increasing productivity, and promoting best practices in civil service frameworks to improve institutional outcomes across the region.
The meeting also reviewed modern legislative initiatives and policy frameworks aimed at increasing government responsiveness and sustainability. The collective goal is to modernize administrative structures and ensure streamlined public services that meet the expectations of GCC citizens.
