Nod awaited for Corona vaccine shots for 6 months to 5 years old children

The concerned committees in the Ministry of Health have yet to discuss the possibility of administering Pfizer and Moderna Corona vaccines for children aged six months to five years old despite the recommendation of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in America on the emergency use of these vaccines for this age group, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources.

Sources explained that “accreditation goes through a series of procedures to check the results of available scientific evidence, which takes a long time – starting from conducting a study up to the final decision on whether to grant accreditation or not.” Sources reiterated that “the health situation in the country is reassuring, considering the intensive care units (ICUs) continue to be free from Corona cases and no new deaths have been recorded so far.”
