IFL KuwaitHailing from Edappal Kerala, Manjumithra started learning dance at the age of four under the guidance of Guru.T.P.Balan. Since then she has carried dance at every footstep of her life.

She has been exploring and continuing her training in Bharathanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchippudifrom experts such as Thrissur Janardhanan, Rachana Narayanankutty, KalamandalamAjitha Ravikumar, Guru Rama Vaidhyanatha, Guru Geetha Padmakumar, and Ms.Meera Sreenarayanan.

She has also done certificate courses in Kalaripayattu, a martial art and Chhau dance, the odissi folk.

Every experiences of learning have helped her in composing different dance forms and dramas under the aegis of her dance school, Shivadam School of Dance. While she teaches the science and technics of dance to the regular students, she takes the freedom of performance in choreographies at stage shows in Kuwait.

Her Choreography of ‘ChavittuNadakam’at the Onam Celebration by National Service Society (NSS)in 2017 attained public attention. ChavittuNadakam is a dance drama that usually showcases biblical stories, but the ChavittNadakam presented by Manjumithradepicted the hindu myth of Mahabali, the erstwhile king of Kerala.

IFL KuwaitIt is also notable that the Shivadam School of Dance, introduced the concept of ‘Cultural Fusion’ through their maiden event at the grand programme organised by one of the associations in Kuwait. It was a breakthrough and till date they have presented more than 150 of such shows.

She is a part of the Asianet News Communication medium as an anchor of ‘Times of Kuwait’. It is a ‘’passion’’ that comes with the advanced diploma in media reporting and editing.

Manjumithra was awarded ‘Natyakalabhramari Award’ at the Sangeeta Nataka Academy, Trissur, Kerala by Satyanjali School of Kuchippudi.

Her talents in arts was well appreciated since her school days. She won ‘Kalathilakam’ title at the various youth festivals of Kerala for more than ten consecutive years from 1997 to 2006.IFL Kuwait

She also secured the best actress in a drama contest during those days. Apart from Bharatanatyam, Mohiniyattam and Kuchippudi she took part and bagged prizes in mono act, English and Malayalam elocution, English versification, fancy dress and ‘Kathaprasangam’. She was the chairperson of the college union during her graduation at the St Little Flower college, Guruvayoor.

She holds a Masters Degree n English Literature, B.Ed. in English and commerce, and an MBAin Human Resource management.

Managing art and literature hand in hand, she is working as a faculty in The Indian Community School (Senior) Kuwait while running her dance school successfully.

Shivadam School of Dance has five branches across Kuwait (Mangaf, Abbasiya, Salmiya and Riggae) with more than 200 students who learn classical dances at professional and amateur level.

She came to Kuwait after getting married to Sarath T P who works at Global International Kuwait. He has been the backbone of all her ventures. Her father is Elamana Rajagopal and mother is Ushadevi Rajagopal. Her brother Chandrajith Rajagopal is working for FaudAlghanim, Kuwait.
